I've been tutoring since high school. At Moraine Valley Community College — where I studied for two years before transferring to DePaul — I tutored across subjects, with a focus on writing and mathematics. By the time I sat for the LSAT, tutoring was already second nature. What surprised me was how much I fell in love with the test itself. The deeper I got into the material, the more I realized I could combine what I'd spent years doing with something I genuinely understood at a high level.
What kept me going was the students. Watching someone finally grasp a concept they'd been fighting for weeks — and then hearing back with a new score — is immensely rewarding. Knowing I played a role in changing the trajectory of someone's life is why I do this.

I didn't grow up around lawyers. Nobody in my family had been to law school, so I learned the process the slow, expensive way — asking questions I was embarrassed not to already know the answers to.
